Cholesterol Testing
Two types of tests are used to measure blood cholesterol levels. Who should measure? Individuals at high risk have a family history of high blood cholesterol, and may have high blood pressure, diabetes, kidney problems, and obesity.

Lung Capacity Testing
This test evaluates how much air your lungs can hold and how quickly you can move air in and out of your lungs. This test can help measure the severity of lung problems.

Blood Pressure Testing
Most people who have high blood pressure are unaware that they have the problem or that it puts them at increased risk of heart attack and stroke.

Blood Glucose Testing
Blood sugar testing can identify who is at risk for developing diabetes and helps monitor blood sugar highs and lows in diabetics. Diabetes is a metabolic disease in which the body does not produce or use insulin properly.

Flu Shots
Influenza (or flu) is a respiratory infection caused by the influenza virus. In Canada, flu season usually runs from November to April and an estimated 10-25% of Canadians get the flu each year. Getting a flu vaccination every year can help prevent the infection or reduce the severity. It reduces the burden on the health care system, not to mention employee downtime.

Anemia Testing
Many people are at risk for iron deficiency anemia and may not even know it. Left untreated, it can result in debilitating fatigue, shortness of breath, dizziness, confusion, and impaired mental function. Research shows that treating anemia can restore the body's ability to combat disease.

A1c Testing
The hemoglobin A1c test is a simple test that shows whether the average amount of glucose in a person's blood sugar is close to normal or too high. It is the best test for a health care provider to tell if a person's diabetes is under control. This test is different from the blood glucose test.
