This course provides the candidates with the knowledge and skills necessary
to teach Canadian Red Cross
First Aid and CPR courses.
Information about the Red Cross, Fundamental Principles and first aid and
CPR training philosophies are also reinforced throughout the course.

Pre-Requisite | Current Canadian Red Cross Standard First
Aid & CPR certificate or equivalent certificate with proof of
CPR-HCP level + must successfully complete a pre-course knowledge and skills test |

Minimum Performance Requirements |
- Completion of assignments and written examination (scoring no less than 80%)
- The candidates must also successfully co-teach a minimum of one Canadian Red
Cross Standard First Aid CPR-HCP course with a designated and experienced Instructor or Instructor Trainer
